Fiscal Responsibility

1–2 minutes

In 2022, Washington Township was hit with a whopping 20% decrease in state funding for our public schools.  In 2021, that reduction was 18%.  Those big cuts directly impact our town’s ability to provide a quality education for our students. Yet our current School Board continues to be distracted by sideshow political issues which, if passed, substantially risk our School Board being the subject of an expensive lawsuit like other New Jersey School Boards. Baker, McConnell and Wengel believe that our School Board has a responsibility to avoid passing policies that invite expensive litigation paid for with our tax payer dollars. A vote for Baker, McConnell and Wengel is a vote for fiscal responsibility.
