Cynthia McConnell

CYNTHIA MCCONNELL

I am running for Washington Township School Board because I am passionate about ensuring that we focus on the needs of our students first so they can all have successful futures. My husband and I have been residents of Long Valley since 2016 and we both grew up in Chester. We have two children who are attending Flocktown-Kossman School in the fall.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting Information Systems from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in IT Project Management from George Washington University. I spent the last 19 years working in the IT field; first for a variety of governmental agencies and the last 9 years with insurance companies. As a project manager, I frequently collaborate with diverse teams, each holding unique viewpoints, towards a common goal. I believe my experience will be an invaluable asset to our local school board and it is my hope that we work together toward making balanced decisions for all stakeholders.
