As a mom/stepmom to 6 boys under the age of 14, I have become increasingly concerned about the divisive politics that have entered into local school board meetings across our state and in our town. I am running for school board to make sure that we focus on fundamentals by ensuring a superb education for all of our children while responsibly managing our school budget.
My family and moved to Washington Township because of the top-notch school district. I am also running to ensure that our outstanding school district maintains that reputation by focusing on quality public education for everyone.
In addition to being a busy mom, I am a graduate of Yale University and Seton Hall University School of Law. I am a local attorney and owner of Baker Legal Group, LLC. I am also a former trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and former adjunct professor of paralegal studies. I believe my experience is well suited to helping our board avoid expensive legal battles over politically motivated issues and remaining focused on the fundamentals of education for our children.
